Frequently Asked Questions ...

Q) What is Life Coaching?
A) A Life Coach is similar to a Personal Trainer. The goal here is to reach your potential in all areas of your life.

Q) Why would I want a Life Coach?
A) You would want a Life Coach:

  • If you want to make changes faster and easier;
  • If you want to maintain progress towards your goals;
  • If you want to establish and maintain balance in a busy life;
  • If you want help and information on decisions

Q) What is the difference between Life Coaching and Psychotherapy?
A) Life coaching is solution oriented and focuses on the 'now' and your future. Life Coaches work with healthy people who want to make changes in areas of their life whether it be personal, career, business, life purpose and so on. Psychotherapy is more involved with your past issues and how that has impacted you.

Q) Will you tell me what to do?
A) No! But I will ask the right questions to help you get to the right answers. You'll be pleasantly surprised at how much you know when asked the right questions.

Q) Isn't this just chatting?
No, this not friendly chit-chat!  It will be friendly, but it will also be productive.  If you're not feeling that you've made measurable progress over the hour-long appointment, then I'm not doing my job right.   Each appointment will be an education, and will have a goal (either big or small) met or made progress on.   This is really important as you are paying for the service and need to know that you are getting value for your money and time.

Q) How many sessions would you recommend?

A)  I would recommend 10 sessions, but this is flexible, and depends on what you require coaching on.   You may have coaching for a period of time, and then occasionally have a session when you come across new challenges.

One Hour Weekly for 6-10 weeks:     $80 per session (NZD)

Follow up appointments:                    $80 per session (NZD)

Tips and Advice

Feeling over committed?

Organise your time on a weekly planner, outlining your family's weekly activities.  You may be surprised at how much space you have left over for 'me' time.

I'm newly single and have been feeling overwhelmed with the sheer volume of re-organising my life.  Julianne has helped me gain clarity with my finances, time management (children, work and other commitments), and my future direction.  Having the dedicated time with Julianne to work this through has been of huge assistance.  I've been able to make some major decisions and move forward more calmly than I may have otherwise done.
